NoVa.JS Meetup: Protractor: Automated Functional Testing w/Angular

Catching bugs in your application is important, and catching them before customers do even more so. As applications scale, user testing becomes more and more necessary to ensure a healthy user experience. How do we determine what needs regular testing; and once that’s figured out, how do we do it? How do we automate it?

In this talk, Andrew Owen will give a brief overview of how automated functional testing works, discuss how development teams determine what’s worth automating, and demo working, automated tests using Protractor — AngularJS’ go-to automation framework for user testing. He’ll also show how to write tests and go over a few of Protractor’s best practices*.
