As the United States observes Veterans Day today, Modus Create is excited to announce that the GORUCK mobile app has been launched to the Apple store and is coming soon to the Google Play store.
GORUCK is a veteran owned apparel and events company whose motto is Building Better Americans.
After participating in a GORUCK event and loving what the company stood for, we wanted to figure out if we could do more to help this organization. The GORUCK mobile app brainstorming started.
While we could donate our time and services to build applications for a multitude of companies and ideas, we chose GORUCK for a few reasons.
First, we have the utmost respect and admiration for those serving and who have served our nation. In addition to this, Modus Create was excited about the opportunity that GORUCK events offer to its participants and would love to see them grow in popularity. Lastly, we thought this was a perfect opportunity to hone our skills with React Native and see what we could bring to market in a short time period for both iOS and Android.
We contacted GORUCK HQ and met with Andy Nelson to show him our designs and pitch this idea. With their support, we were given the green light to move forward with development.
The GORUCK application provides users the ability to find GORUCK events around the world, education about GORUCK Cadre, the ability to find and purchase gear, and inspirational videos of past events.
This application is available today via the App store and will be released on Android in the coming weeks.
